9 PM, $5 In January 2010, three roommates grew tired with the mundane trials that had become their student lives at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Looking for creative release, Max Meyer, Collin Matz, and Aaron Ochsner, long-time friends, finally put their heads together and started making music. It was immediately apparent that a better rhythm section meant better music, so Matz recruited a co-worker and university peer, Josh Tapio. With a shared love of midweek craft-brewed beers, the comedy stylings of an epic cartoon, and dirty guitar riffs, so was born the Wednesday night practice. Starting slow, the band has grown at a mature rate. A responsible rate. A post- "crazy college kids" rate. Armed with education, good bloodlines, and reasonable goals, Saturn Moth has set out to establish its name in the party of bands that makeup the Omaha scene. |
